Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all purchases made at Marshall & Stewart, a trading name of West End Bed Company Limited (company number 08426920), registered at 215 Upper Richmond Road West, East Sheen, London, SW14 8QT. VAT number 158969049.
By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.
How to Purchase
All purchases are made in person at one of our showrooms following a private sleep consultation. We do not currently sell online. Payment is taken in full at the point of order.
Bespoke Orders
Most Marshall & Stewart beds are manufactured to order to your specific requirements. Because of this, cancellation and refund rights are more limited than for standard off-the-shelf products. Please read our refund and returns policy carefully before placing your order.
Lead Times
We will confirm current lead times at the point of purchase. Once your bed is ready, we will contact you to arrange delivery at a time that suits you.
Storage
If you are unable to accept delivery within the agreed timeframe, for example due to building work, we will store your bed free of charge for up to three months. After three months, a storage charge will apply. Our sales team will confirm the applicable rate at the point of purchase.
Delivery
We offer a full white-glove delivery service, Monday to Friday. Our team will carry your bed to your chosen room, assemble it, and remove all packaging. We will provide a courtesy call approximately thirty minutes before arrival. Where access to your property may be an issue, we recommend arranging an access check in advance.
If your bed is delayed, we will contact you proactively. Where appropriate, we will offer a loan bed at no charge for the duration of the delay. If a loan bed is not suitable, we will discuss an appropriate alternative.
Refunds and Returns
Our full refund and returns policy is set out below.
- Where you change your mind before goods have been ordered from the manufacturer, a refund is not obligatory. However, we offer a 48-hour cooling off period during which a refund may be authorised at our discretion.
- Where you change your mind after goods have been ordered from the manufacturer, a refund is not obligatory. However, we offer a 48-hour cooling off period during which a refund may be authorised at our discretion. In this case, a 10% administration fee will apply.
- Where goods have been delivered and you change your mind, a refund is not obligatory. However, a refund may be authorised at our discretion. In this case, a 30% administration and restocking fee will apply.
- Where goods are faulty or not in accordance with your order, we reserve the right to inspect, or to request the manufacturer to inspect, the goods before taking further action. A replacement may be authorised by the manufacturer. You retain the right to request a refund. Goods must be returned in the same condition as received.
In all cases, refunds are issued to the same card used for payment once cleared funds have been received. This may take 7 to 10 days. It may then take a further 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement. Where a card payment incurs a commission charge, for example American Express, you will be liable for that cost.
Liability
Marshall & Stewart carries full commercial insurance brokered by Brown and Brown and backed by Aviva Commercial, covering stock, property, trading liability, damage to customers’ homes during delivery, and injury to visitors on the premises.
Our liability to you will not exceed the total value of your purchase.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
